MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Forgive me slasher, but I am unaware of any tensions between Ukraine and Russia. Can you supply a link or a quick synopsis. I think Iran / Venezuela could provide some near term tension for the world oil markets. Can you imagine the atmosphere at the Merc in New York these past 3 or 4 months. How many fortunes have been lost, I don't dare imagine. Oil is indeed due for a rebound, which we are seeing a preview of today up $5 in one day. Amazing. If the luck of this small oil company changes , I do believe many people will be shocked. Luck and hard work don't usually come without the other.
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
People are acusing management of things and this whole tight hole status. We need to be patient on this one. A lot has changed, but the reason we invested remains the same from where I'm sitting
people seem worried at the announced financing, but advancing is the only option at this point.
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Yes. Let's hope there is no regulatory issues 6 months until production would be great.
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
finally some good news,,,,,,,,,, with any luck we got 2-3 weeks before the xmas break for some testing to get done, dont guess it will be finished by then but there is always next year. possibility of production in the next 2-6 monthes depending on regulatory hurdles as we still have to build a pipeline, hopefully the income will propell the next well to production.possible increase in oil prices very soon could get us back above water. the situation between ukraine and russia might wake up the oil markets.
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Palm,
Per your post:
What things might people be looking for that are not there?? You mentioned motives. What motives are you referencing?? Your post does not make any sense to me. Maybe the other posters might be able to help in understanding your direction.
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Why are people looking for things that aren't there. What motives exist??
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Jamster - what do you make of the NR. Why the sell off today. We could be very happy campers before long if they hit.
Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
Good Morning All,
MEO news release late last night. It might just be the start of a long sustained period of production and further exploration in the area IMO.

Re: MEO AND THE BLATHER ON OTHER BOARDS
There is no doubt that there was a great deal of undue speculation, greed and associated mischief in markets, financials, business and government (Hi Chris Dodd & Barney Frank). But lots of little people helped also who ignored warnings about overloading on debt.
Now we have the media telling us each day how bad doomsday will be tomorrow. We are rushing towards the great depression they say.
I have only one answer for that. To paraphrase a famous general in WWII, "NUTS"
By mid 2009, all the talking heads will be telling us how they spotted the bottom in December, 2008.
Cheers

Good Evening All,
The markets are in the tank with nothing positive that I could gather for any short term upside. The DOW closed today at approx. 7552 a 444 point drop. Oil was at the $49. and change area as well. Gold closed at around $760. I know that many of us at least read other boards even if we are not members and post on them. There are a lot of laughers out there posting nothing but pure garbage, about not only MEO, but anything that seems to grab their fancy on any given day. They tend to be indiscriminate with regard to the type as well as the amount of slop they sling.
Where are all the players (I have read many of their posts) that have made outrageous claims of huge amounts of revenue to the tune of $83-85 million kazillion dollars a day by little ole MEO, gold in the $2000 range and on blah, blah, blah... A bunch of the posters would rather discuss legalize issues on how to proceed in attempting to disembowel corporate front office people rather than the state of the North American and yes Global calamity that we all are confronted with.
The US policy makers, (Is there an 'honest one' in the whole lot???) would rather bailout the very institutions (financial, insurance companies) and quite possibly the big three automakers that have caused this sad state in what I consider to be the greatest country in the world. Corporate greed has indeed peaked in the last several years and now we all must pay the piper for their cash and perk gorges that they thought was their entitlement regardless of performance. The markets IMO will ride 'The Big Bear' possibly until the at least the second or early third quarter of next year. The lights have been off for some time and the party is long over.
On a lighter side having read the newswires: It appears the only way to make a buck or loonie on oil these days is to be a Somali ship captain fishing for super tankers.
Have a great evening
