For the first time, NASA has been relying on private companies like Elon Musk’s SpaceX for re-supply missions; only that’s just the beginning. This QuickTake examines the future of space tourism using private space taxis.
Musk’s SpaceX achieved an important milestone in space travel on March 30th, relaunching one of its previously recovered and refurbished Falcon 9 rockets for the first time. According to Bloomberg,
The launch is considered a huge step toward making space tourism and space travel cheaper and easier.
This continued focus on space and new high-powered telescopes is not stopping.
In late-February we wrote,
“Seven Earth-sized planets have been observed by NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope around a tiny, nearby, ultra-cool dwarf star called TRAPPIST-1. Three of these planets are firmly in the habitable zone. This discovery has been dominating the news and is positively impacting the telescope market. Combined with Elon Musk’s SpaceX, investors are becoming fascinated with all things space and futuristic.”
