On Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he supported U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to revive Keystone XL. The Keystone pipeline has been the target of environmentalists for years and was rejected by the Obama administration.
Trudeau explained that,
“I’ve been on the record for many years supporting it, because it leads to economic growth and good jobs for Albertans.”
Trudeau had been quiet about the pipeline for months; allowing some to categorize his lack of dicussion on the topic to be contentment with the Obama Admininstration’s decision. With Trump in Office, Canada is going to be dancing to a very different tune for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, protesters are preparing for an epic battle that may have already been lost.
