Blackrock Gold Breaks Out While Orvana Minerals Breaks Down
Blackrock Gold
Blackrock Gold took home one of the biggest stock breakouts of the day, rising 19.57% from C$0.23 to C$0.28. The company recently provided an update on its diamond drilling program at the Silver Cloud project in Elko County, Nevada.
Via Blackrock Gold,
William Howald, Executive Chairman of Blackrock, stated, “The first hole drilled at Silver Cloud in over 15 years has intercepted an intensely silicified interval with up to 10% sulphide in a strongly altered porphyry intrusive . . . We look forward to the drill results from Hole SBC19-001 as we continue to make good progress towards completing the additional three holes that are planned as part of this drill campaign.”
Orvana Minerals
In contrast, Orvana Minerals suffered the biggest stock breakdown today, falling 22.22% from C$0.18 to C$0.14 after announcing that it would be suspending its mining operations at Las Tojas.
Via Orvana Minerals,
“The Company [Orvana Minerals] has determined to suspend mining operations at Las Tojas effective on or before December 31, 2019 because of a higher than expected ore-grade operational mining dilution with more narrow, erratic and discontinued mineralized structures, which is resulting in uneconomic unitary cost per ounce.
